High Point is a special kind of community in Hernando County, Florida, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that the government tracks for population and other facts, but it's not officially a city or town with its own local government.

In 2010, about 3,686 people lived in High Point. By 2020, the population had grown to 3,873 people.

Where is High Point Located?

It shares its borders with a few other places. To the north and west, you'll find North Weeki Wachee. To the east is Brookridge. South of High Point, across State Road 50, is Spring Hill.

Getting Around High Point

Florida State Road 50 is an important road nearby. If you travel east on SR 50 for about 8 miles (13 km), you'll reach Brooksville. Brooksville is the main city and county seat of Hernando County.

If you go west on SR 50 for about 4 miles (6 km), the road ends at U.S. Route 19 in Weeki Wachee.
