Holiday is a special kind of community in Pasco County, Florida, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially a city with its own local government. Holiday is part of the larger Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2020, about 24,939 people lived there.

The name "Holiday" came about in the early 1960s. A man named William W. Boyd, who was in charge of a bank, saw the name "Holiday Drive" on a map. This was near where a new bank branch was going to be built. He liked the name so much that he suggested it for the new branch. Later, he worked to get the whole community named Holiday.
