Homebush: A Look Back in Time
The name Homebush comes from a large farm, called a pastoral run. This farm was first owned by E. B. Cornish in 1864. Later, John Walker managed it in 1866. Over time, it changed into a place where sugar cane was grown.

- 1883: The Homebush Post Office opened its doors. It helped people send and receive mail for many years.
- 1883: The Homebush Sugar Mill also started operating. This mill processed sugar cane from the local farms.
