Hongshan Forest Zoo facts for kids
The Hongshan Forest Zoo (which means “The Red Mount Forest Zoo” in Chinese) is a fun zoo located in Nanjing, a big city in China. It's found in the Suanwu District of Nanjing. This zoo is quite large, covering about 1026 acres, which is like having over 770 football fields! It first opened its doors in 1998.
If you want to visit, the zoo is open from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Tickets for adults cost 40 yuan, but for kids, it's only 20 yuan. It's a great place to learn about animals from all over the world.
Amazing Animals at the Zoo
Hongshan Forest Zoo is home to a huge variety of animals. It has more than 3,000 animals from over 280 different kinds! The zoo is set up with special areas for different types of creatures.
