Horseshoe Bay is a city in Texas, located in both Llano and Burnet counties. It sits right on Lake Lyndon B. Johnson and a part of the Colorado River.

This city is famous for its beautiful golf courses, a big hotel and resort, and lots of fun water sports. Before it officially became a city in 2005, it was known as a "census-designated place" (CDP). In 2020, about 4,257 people lived there.

Horseshoe Bay is mostly in Llano County. A smaller part of it stretches into Burnet County. It's on the southern side of Lake Lyndon B. Johnson.

The city is about 28 miles (45 km) southeast of Llano. It's also about 8 miles (13 km) west of Marble Falls. If you're coming from downtown Austin, it's about 51 miles (82 km) northwest.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Horseshoe Bay covers a total area of about 16.59 square miles (42.96 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, and a small part is water.
