Houston Edward Summers IV (born October 26, 1983) is an American former R&B singer. He is known simply as Houston. He is best known for his 2004 song "I Like That". This song featured famous artists Chingy and Nate Dogg. He later left Capitol Records.
Early Life and Music Start
Houston Summers went to the Academy of Music at Hamilton High School in Los Angeles. He often took part in music activities there. His team recorded videos of his performances. They hoped these videos would help him get a music deal. He then signed with Capitol Records.
Music Career Highlights
Houston's first song, "I Like That", came out on March 13, 2004. It featured Chingy and Nate Dogg. This song was a big hit! It reached number three on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It also reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart.
His first and only album, It's Already Written, was released on August 10, 2004. The album was very popular and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This means it sold over 500,000 copies!
