Hudson Oaks is known for its many businesses. It has even been called "The Entertainment Capital of Parker County." The city also hosts fun events like "Boomin' Fourth," a fireworks show, and "COHOHO," a Christmas festival.

Hudson Oaks was officially started in 1978. The city has its own police department with 15 officers. For fire protection, they work with the Weatherford Fire Department.
Growing and Developing
Over the years, Hudson Oaks has grown a lot. Many nice neighborhoods are part of the city. These include Red Eagle, Diamond Oaks, Parker Oaks, Enchanted Oaks, and Red Oak Hills.
In 2019, a large grocery store called HEB opened its doors in Hudson Oaks. This was a big deal for the city. It helped bring in even more new businesses.
Water Supply Changes
A major change happened in 2022 for Hudson Oaks. The city connected to a large water pipe from Fort Worth. This new connection now provides water to Hudson Oaks. Before this, the city and nearby Willow Park got their water from Lake Weatherford.

Hudson Oaks is located in Texas, between the cities of Weatherford and Willow Park. It is about 20 miles west of Fort Worth. Dallas is a bit further, about 40 miles to the west.
City Layout and Highways
The city covers an area of about 2.5 square miles, which is all land. A major highway, IH-20, goes right through Hudson Oaks. It divides the city into two parts: a north side and a south side. Both sides have homes and many businesses.
Besides IH-20, two other important highways meet in Hudson Oaks. These are Bankhead Highway and US 180. These roads help people travel in and out of the city easily.
