History of Humboldt
A post office in Humboldt has been open since 1896. The city is believed to be named after Alexander von Humboldt. He was a famous explorer and diplomat. Alexander von Humboldt explored many parts of the Americas. His adventures were widely written about between 1797 and 1858.
