Hunter Azure was born on March 2, 1992. He is an American professional mixed martial artist. He used to compete in the bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

About Hunter Azure
Hunter Azure was born in Poplar, Montana. This is on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. He went to Poplar High School. There, he was a great wrestler. He won four state championships in Class-B.
After high school, he continued to wrestle. He attended Montana State University–Northern. He earned a degree in industrial technology from there.
Hunter's MMA Journey
Starting His Career
Hunter Azure began his professional mixed martial arts career in 2017. He fought in smaller events in the Western United States. He was especially known for fighting in the Legacy Fighting Alliance. During this time, he was undefeated. He won all six of his first fights.
Joining the UFC
Hunter got a chance to join the Dana White's Contender Series. This show helps fighters get into the UFC. On July 9, 2019, he fought Chris Ocon. Hunter won the fight by a unanimous decision. This win earned him a contract with the UFC.
Fighting in the UFC
Hunter Azure made his first UFC appearance on September 14, 2019. He fought The Ultimate Fighter 27 Featherweight Tournament winner Brad Katona. Hunter won this fight by a unanimous decision.
He was supposed to fight Umar Nurmagomedov in April 2020. However, that event was postponed.
Hunter then fought Brian Kelleher on May 13, 2020. He lost this fight in the second round. Even though he lost, this fight was very exciting. Both fighters earned the Fight of the Night award.
On September 5, 2020, Hunter fought Cole Smith. Hunter won this match by a unanimous decision.
His next fight was against Jack Shore on April 10, 2021. Hunter lost this fight by a split decision.
On March 1, 2022, it was announced that Hunter Azure was no longer fighting in the UFC.
After the UFC
After leaving the UFC, Hunter continued to fight. His first fight was on March 18, 2022, against Keith Richardson. He lost this fight.
On October 15, 2022, Hunter fought Ben Hollier. He won this fight by a unanimous decision.
Hunter then fought Amun Cosme on April 17, 2024. This was for the UFL Bantamweight title. Hunter won the fight in the second round. He became the UFL Bantamweight Champion.
He defended his UFL Bantamweight title on August 30, 2024. He fought fellow UFC veteran Vince Morales. Hunter lost the fight in the third round.
The Ultimate Fighter Season 31
In March 2023, Hunter Azure was part of The Ultimate Fighter show. This show features fighters competing against each other.
In the quarterfinal round, Hunter fought Rico DiSciullo. Hunter had a strong first round. However, he lost the fight in the second round.
Hunter's Personal Life
Hunter Azure is engaged to Sage. They have a son together. Hunter's parents are Howard and Deb Azure. He also has three siblings. Hunter is a Native American. He is a member of the Assiniboine and Sioux people. They live on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation.
