The oriental tree frog (Hyla orientalis) is a small, green frog found in parts of Europe and Asia. You might also hear it called the eastern tree frog, Caucasian tree frog, or Shelkovnikov's tree frog. Scientists have seen this frog in countries like Turkey, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. It might even live in Greece.
For a long time, scientists thought this frog was just a type of the European tree frog (Hyla arborea). But after more research, they realized it's actually its own unique species.
