Hyun Young-min (born December 25, 1979) is a South Korean football coach and a former player. He played as a defender, often on the side of the field as a full-back or wingback. He could also play as a winger, which is a type of midfielder. Today, he manages the Under-18 team for Ulsan Hyundai, a well-known football club.

Football Career
Hyun Young-min had a long and successful career in football. He played for several clubs in South Korea and even spent some time playing in Russia. He also represented his country on the national team.
Club Journey
Hyun Young-min started his professional football journey with Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i in South Korea in 2002. He played there for four years, showing his skills as a defender.
In 2006, he moved to Russia to play for Zenit Saint Petersburg. He played 10 games for them before returning to Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i in 2007. He stayed with Ulsan for another three years.
Later, in December 2009, he joined FC Seoul. He played for FC Seoul until 2013, then briefly played for Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma. His last club was Jeonnam Dragons, where he played from 2014 until he retired in 2017.
Playing for South Korea
Hyun Young-min also played for the South Korea national football team. He was part of the team that played in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, which was a very big event for South Korea as they co-hosted it. He also represented South Korea in the 2002 Asian Games, where his team won a bronze medal.
After Playing Football
After retiring as a player, Hyun Young-min decided to become a coach. In June 2021, he signed a contract with DH Entertainment. Since 2022, he has been managing the Under-18 team for Ulsan Hyundai, helping to train the next generation of football stars.
