Igor Yakovlevich Krutoy (Russian: Игорь Яковлевич Крутой), also known as Ihor Yakovych Krutyi, was born on July 29, 1954. He is a famous Ukrainian-Russian music composer, performer, and producer. He also helps promote music artists.
Igor Krutoy has received many important awards. These include "Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation," "People's Artist of Russia," and "People's Artist of Ukraine." These titles show how much his work is valued. He has also won awards like the ZD Awards and the Ovation Award.

Igor Krutoy's Early Life and Music Journey
Igor Krutoy was born on July 29, 1954, in Haivoron, Ukraine. When he was a child, he taught himself to play the accordion. He even played in his school band!
After school, he studied music at Kirovograd music college. He finished with top honors in 1974. He then taught accordion classes for a year. Later, he studied choral music at Nikolaev State Pedagogical Institute.
While studying, he worked in restaurants. There, he met singer Aleksander Serov. They became good friends. Aleksander Serov later sang many of Igor Krutoy's songs.
In 1979, Igor Krutoy moved to Moscow. He worked with famous artists in the "Panorama" orchestra. In 1986, he finally joined the composer department at the Saratov Conservatory.
Around this time, his friend Aleksander Serov became very popular. He won international awards with Igor Krutoy's songs. Igor Krutoy himself received the Lenin Komsomol Prize in 1989. This award recognized his achievements in music.
In 2012, Igor Krutoy became involved with Music1.ru. This was an online music platform. He wanted it to be a leading music site in some countries.
