The Immaculate Antbird (scientific name: Myrmeciza immaculata) is a small bird that lives in forests. It belongs to a group of birds called antbirds. These birds are known for often following swarms of army ants to find their food.

Where the Immaculate Antbird Lives

This special bird can be found in several countries in Central and South America. Its home includes Costa Rica, Panama, and parts of Colombia. You can also find it in western Venezuela and western Ecuador. It prefers to live in thick forests.

What the Immaculate Antbird Eats

The Immaculate Antbird mainly eats insects. It has a very clever way of finding its meals! It often follows large groups of army ants. As these ants march through the forest, they scare out insects and other small creatures. The antbird then swoops in to catch the prey that is trying to escape the ants. Sometimes, it can also find food on its own, away from the ant swarms.
