History of Improvement District No. 12

Improvement District No. 12, often called I.D. No. 12, was first created on April 1, 1945. Back then, it was known as I.D. No. 80. It was formed by combining many smaller improvement districts.

Later, on January 1, 1969, its name was changed to I.D. No. 12. This made it easier to keep track of the different areas.

In 1995, a new improvement district was formed from a part of I.D. No. 12. This new area was called Jasper Improvement District. It later became the town of Jasper in 2001. So, I.D. No. 12 now covers the parts of the park that are not part of the town of Jasper.
