Inazuma Eleven is a super popular Japanese anime TV show that aired from 2008 to 2011. It's all about soccer and is based on a fun video game series with the same name. The show was made by OLM and directed by Katsuhito Akiyama. There are 127 episodes in total, full of exciting soccer matches and amazing special moves!

The anime first aired in Japan on the TV Tokyo network. It became really popular around the world. You could watch it in places like Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Brazil, and India. It also aired in the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Later, it came to the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

In the United States, the first 26 episodes used to be available on Hulu. You could watch them in English or European Spanish. However, the original Japanese version isn't available there right now. There's also a different Spanish version for Latin America that's translated from the Japanese.

Awesome Music

The Inazuma Eleven series has some really catchy theme music! There are thirteen different songs used throughout the show.

  • Six of these are opening themes, which play at the start of each episode. These were performed by a group called T-Pistonz+KMC.
  • The first opening song was "Tachiagari-yo" for episodes 1 to 26.
  • Then came "Maji de Kansha!" for episodes 27 to 54.
  • "Tsunagari-yo" was used for episodes 55 to 67.
  • Next was "Katte Nakou ze!" for episodes 68 through 87.
  • "GOOD Kita!" played for episodes 88 to 107.
  • The very last opening theme, from episode 108 onwards, was "Bokura no Goal!".

There are also seven closing themes, which play at the end of each episode.

  • The first closing song was "Seishun Oden" by Twel'v for episodes 1 to 26.
  • The next five closing themes were all performed by a group called Berryz Kobo.
    • "Seishun Bus Guide" was for episodes 27 to 50.
    • "Ryūsei Boy" was for episodes 51 to 67.
    • "Otakebi Boy WAO!" was for episodes 68 through 87.
    • "Maji Bomber!!" was for episodes 88 to 101.
    • "Shining Power" was for episodes 102 to 112.
  • The final closing theme, "Mata ne... no Kisetsu", was sung by Inazuma All Stars. This group included the voice actors Junko Takeuchi, Yuka Nishigaki, Hiroyuki Yoshino, Hirofumi Nojima, and Mamoru Miyano.

How Many People Watched?

The show was first broadcast in Japan on TV Tokyo. It ran from October 5, 2008, to April 27, 2011.

Inazuma Eleven became one of the top ten anime series in Japan. This happened during the week of December 29, 2008, when episode 14, "The Legendary Eleven!", was watched by 4.0% of viewers. The show's popularity grew even more. Its highest number of viewers was during the week of July 5–11, 2010. Episode 90, "Teikoku's Curse! (Part 1)", got a huge 6.2% share of viewers! By the very last episode, "Kick-off to Tomorrow!", the show still had a strong 4.8% viewer share.

After the first series ended, two more series followed right away:

  • Inazuma Eleven GO aired from May 4, 2011, to April 11, 2012.
  • Inazuma Eleven GO: Chrono Stone started on April 18, 2012.
  • Inazuma Eleven GO: Galaxy began airing on May 8, 2013.

Where to Watch at Home

You could buy the episodes on DVD! Twenty-eight different DVD sets were released by Geneon Entertainment. Each set had about three to four episodes. The very first DVD came out on February 20, 2008.

The Inazuma Eleven anime series has 127 episodes spread across three exciting seasons. Each season follows the Raimon soccer team on new adventures and challenges.

Season 1 (2008–2009)

This season introduces us to the main characters and their journey to become a strong soccer team. They face tough opponents and learn new special moves.

Season 2 (2009–2010)

In the second season, the team faces a new and mysterious threat. They must work together to protect the world from powerful alien soccer players!

Season 3 (2010–2011)

The third season takes the team to a global stage. They represent Japan in an international soccer tournament, playing against the best teams from around the world.
