Ingrid Burley (born December 19, 1986), known as Ingrid, is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter. She was born and grew up in Houston, Texas. Ingrid started her music journey at a young age.
When she was 11, Ingrid joined a music group called Trio. This group was managed by Mathew Knowles, who also signed her to his record label, Music World. Mathew Knowles is a well-known music manager.
Ingrid became famous for writing songs. She had a deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. This meant she would record demo songs for other artists. One of the artists she wrote for was Beyoncé. In 2013, Ingrid sang on the song "Blow" from Beyoncé's album. She also helped write "Love Drought" for Beyoncé's album Lemonade. Ingrid also co-wrote "Shining" with Jay-Z for DJ Khaled's 2017 album.
In 2015, Ingrid joined Parkwood Entertainment. This is Beyoncé's own record label. Other artists like Chloe x Halle also signed with Parkwood. Ingrid released her first collection of songs, called an EP, on June 17, 2016. It was titled Trill Feels.
