Amber Denise "Sevyn" Streeter (born July 7, 1986) is an American singer and songwriter. She first became known as a member of the girl groups TG4 and RichGirl, where she used the stage name Se7en. In 2012, she signed with Atlantic Records and began her solo career, releasing her first single, "I Like It."
Streeter's first solo project was an extended play (EP) called Call Me Crazy, But..., which came out in 2013. It featured her hit song "It Won't Stop", which became her most successful single and earned a gold certification from the RIAA. In 2015, she released another EP, Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1.
Her first full album, Girl Disrupted, was released on her birthday, July 7, 2017. Streeter is also a talented songwriter who has written songs for many famous artists. These include Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, and Kelly Rowland.

Early Life
Sevyn Streeter was born in Haines City, Florida, on July 7, 1986. Her parents are Tim and Karen Streeter. From a young age, she loved to sing and performed in her church and at talent shows. By the time she was five, she knew she wanted to be a professional singer.
When she was 10 years old, she competed on the famous TV show Showtime at the Apollo. She sang the song "My Funny Valentine" and tied for first place.
Music Career
2001–2012: Starting in Girl Groups
Streeter got her first record deal when she was 14. She joined a girl group called TG4. The group opened for popular artists like B2K and Bow Wow on tour. TG4's main single was "Virginity," which appeared on the Billboard R&B music chart. The group eventually broke up.
Later, Streeter joined another girl group called RichGirl, created by music producer Rich Harrison. In this group, she was known as Se7en. RichGirl opened for Beyoncé on her I Am... World Tour. After RichGirl also broke up, Streeter decided to focus on her solo career. She signed with a record label run by Chris Brown.
2013–2015: Solo Success
After changing her stage name from Se7en to Sevyn Streeter, she released her first solo song, "I Like It," in 2012. The next year, she released her hit single "It Won't Stop". A new version of the song featuring Chris Brown became very popular. The music video was also directed by Chris Brown.
Her first EP, Call Me Crazy, But..., came out in late 2013. It did well, selling over 17,000 copies in its first week. The EP also included the single "Next".
In 2015, Streeter recorded the song "How Bad Do You Want It (Oh Yeah)" for the movie soundtrack of Furious 7. She also released another EP called Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1, which featured the song "Don't Kill the Fun."
2016–2018: Girl Disrupted Album
In 2016, Streeter began releasing songs from her upcoming album, Girl Disrupted. The first single was "Prolly" featuring Gucci Mane, followed by "My Love for You" and "D4L".
That same year, Streeter was scheduled to sing the National Anthem at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. However, she was not allowed to perform because she was wearing a shirt that said, "We Matter." She explained that she was expressing her support for an important social cause.
Her album Girl Disrupted was finally released on July 7, 2017. It included songs with other artists like Ty Dolla $ign, August Alsina, and Dave East. After the album, she released more singles, including "Yernin" in 2018 and "Whatchusay" in 2019.
2020–Present: New Music and TV
In 2020, Streeter released new music, including the singles "HMU" and "Kissez." In 2021, she released the song "Guilty," which featured Chris Brown and A$AP Ferg. These songs were part of her second album, ... Wordz Sober Thoughtz, which came out in 2021.
In 2025, Streeter was featured on the Netflix music series Hitmakers, which shows how popular songs are created.

Sevyn Streeter has said that singer Aaliyah is her biggest inspiration. In 2013, she visited Aaliyah's old high school in Detroit, Michigan, and recorded a cover of Aaliyah's song "Come Over" to honor her.
