Amber Denise "Sevyn" Streeter (born July 7, 1986) is an American singer and songwriter. She is well-known for being a part of the girl groups TG4 and RichGirl. In these groups, she was known as Se7en.
Sevyn Streeter signed with Atlantic Records and released her first song, "I Like It," in 2012. Her first collection of songs, called an extended play (EP), Call Me Crazy, But..., came out on December 3, 2013. This EP sold many copies and included her popular song "It Won't Stop". This song became a "gold" hit, meaning it sold over 500,000 copies. It is her best-selling song so far. In 2015, she released another EP titled Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1.
Her first full album, Girl Disrupted, was released on July 7, 2017. Sevyn Streeter has also written songs for many famous artists. These include Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Ariana Grande, and Alicia Keys.

Early Life and Musical Start
Sevyn Streeter was born on July 7, 1986, in Haines City, Florida. Her parents are Tim and Karen Streeter. From a young age, she loved to sing. She sang in church and at talent shows. By the time she was 5, she knew she wanted to be a singer.
When she was 10, she appeared on the TV show Showtime at the Apollo. She tied for first place by singing "My Funny Valentine." This was an early sign of her talent.
Music Career Journey
Early Groups: TG4 and RichGirl
Sevyn Streeter got her first record deal when she was just 14 years old. She joined a girl group called TG4. This group was formed by Chris Stokes and T.U.G. Entertainment. Sevyn was the first member chosen for the group.
The group's name, TG4, stood for "Tom Girls 4." They explained that they were girls who acted like guys but still loved being girls. TG4 opened for popular groups like B2K and IMx. They also performed on the TV show Soul Train.
TG4 released a music video for their song "2 Minutes." However, the song did not become a big hit. The group later broke up.
After TG4, Amber was discovered by Rich Harrison on MySpace. She signed with his label as "Se7en." In 2007, she joined another girl group called RichGirl. The group released a mixtape called Fall in Love with RichGirl in 2011.
RichGirl opened for Beyoncé on her "I Am... World Tour." They also toured with Mario. Eventually, the members of RichGirl decided to go their separate ways. On March 21, 2012, Sevyn announced she had signed with Chris Brown's music company.
Solo Success: Call Me Crazy, But...
After joining Chris Brown's team, Se7en changed her stage name to Sevyn Streeter. On October 30, 2012, she released her first solo song, "I Like It." The music video for the song first appeared on BET's 106 & Park in January 2013.
Her second song, "It Won't Stop," came out on May 22, 2013. She also released an acoustic version of the song. Her first EP, Call Me Crazy, But..., was released on February 16, 2013. It quickly became popular on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Sevyn Streeter later released a remix of "It Won't Stop" featuring Chris Brown. Chris Brown also directed the music video for the remix. The video featured NBA player Dorell Wright. She then released another song from the EP, "nEXt."
In 2015, Sevyn Streeter released "Don't Kill the Fun" featuring Chris Brown. She also recorded a song called "How Bad Do You Want It (Oh Yeah)" for the Furious 7 movie soundtrack. This song came out on March 17, 2015.
In July 2015, she released her EP Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1. This EP included "Don't Kill the Fun" and the title track, which featured B.o.B.
Debut Album: Girl Disrupted
On August 12, 2016, Sevyn Streeter released "Prolly" featuring Gucci Mane. This was the first song from her upcoming album, Girl Disrupted. The music video for "Prolly" came out a few days later.
She then released "My Love for You" on September 16, 2016. The music video for this song was directed by Mike Ho. On October 14, 2016, she released "D4L" featuring The-Dream.
In October 2016, Sevyn Streeter was set to sing the National Anthem for a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. However, her performance was cancelled because of a message on her shirt.
On November 15, 2016, Sevyn Streeter announced a tour to promote Girl Disrupted. The tour started in January 2017. She also announced that her album would be released on January 27, 2017.
"Before I Do" was released as the album's fourth song on December 2, 2016. The music video followed soon after. In an interview, Sevyn Streeter explained that she decided to push back the album's release date herself. She wanted to put out more music and create more excitement.
On January 27, 2017, "Fallen" was released. This song featured Ty Dolla $ign and Cam Wallace. The music video for "Fallen" premiered on January 30, 2017.
Finally, on July 7, 2017, Sevyn Streeter released her first studio album, Girl Disrupted. She continued to release new music, including "Yernin" in 2018 and "Whatchusay" in 2019.
Recent Work: Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz
On September 18, 2020, Sevyn Streeter released her song "HMU." On October 2, 2020, she released "Kissez" featuring Davido. These songs were part of her upcoming album, Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz.
She then released "Guilty" featuring Chris Brown and A$ap Ferg on February 12, 2021. This song was the main single from her new album.
Musical Inspirations
Sevyn Streeter says that Aaliyah is her biggest musical inspiration. She even sang Aaliyah's song "Come Over" after visiting Aaliyah's high school in Detroit in 2013. Sevyn also wrote a letter to honor Aaliyah's memory.
