Inishturk is a small island in County Galway, Ireland. Its name comes from the Irish language, Inis Toirc, which means Wild Boar Island. People sometimes call it Inishturk South to avoid confusing it with another island named Inishturk in County Mayo.
Where is Inishturk?
Inishturk is located off the coast of Ireland. It is not far from the towns of Clifden and Cleggan. You can find it between Turbot Island to the south and Omey Island to the north. A tall radio and TV mast stands on the highest hill of the island. The easiest spot to land on Inishturk is on its southeast side.
