John Leonard "Jack" Dyte (October 13, 1918 – April 9, 1974) was a Canadian ice hockey player. He played as a defenceman, which means his main job was to help protect his team's goal. Jack played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Chicago Black Hawks.

Later, he joined the Montreal Royals in the Quebec Senior Hockey League for one season. Jack also played in the AHL. He spent one season with Providence-Buffalo and two seasons with the Buffalo Bisons. His last AHL team was the St. Louis Flyers, where he played for one season.
Jack finished his career playing for the Northside Victorias in the CBSHL. He retired from professional hockey in 1948. Jack Dyte passed away on April 9, 1974.
