Monroe Jackson Rathbone V (born December 14, 1984) is an American actor, singer, and musician. He is best known for playing Jasper Hale in The Twilight Saga movies. From 2008 to 2012, he was the lead singer and played many instruments for the funk rock band 100 Monkeys.

Early Life and Education
Jackson Rathbone was born in Singapore on December 14, 1984. His parents, Randee Lynn and Monroe Jackson Rathbone IV, are American. Because his father worked for Mobil Oil, Jackson lived in many places. He lived in Singapore, Norway, and Indonesia before his family settled in Midland, Texas.
Jackson went to the Trinity School of Midland. He started acting in local theater groups, often in musical plays. For his last two years of high school, he studied acting at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles to start his acting career.
Acting Career Highlights
When Jackson first arrived in Los Angeles, he got a job on Disney 411. On this show, he interviewed rising stars like Hilary Duff. He also appeared in TV shows like The O.C. and Close to Home.

In 2014, Jackson was on a plane when its engine had a problem. The plane had to make an emergency landing. Everyone on board survived, though a few people were injured.
