Jahan Waltè Dotson (/dʒəˈhɑːn/ JƏ-hahn; born March 22, 2000) is an American professional football wide receiver. He plays for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL). Dotson played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions. He was chosen by the Washington Commanders in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. In 2024, he joined the Eagles.

Early Life and High School Football
Jahan Dotson was born on March 22, 2000, in Newark, New Jersey. He grew up in East Orange before moving to Pennsylvania. He went to Nazareth Area High School in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
During his time at Nazareth, he became a star player. He set new school records for catches (187), receiving yards (2,755), and touchdowns (40). After high school, Dotson decided to play college football at Penn State.
College Football Career
Dotson played for the Penn State Nittany Lions from 2018 to 2021. As a freshman in 2018, he played in eight games. He caught 13 passes for 203 yards.
In 2019, his sophomore year, Dotson started all 13 games. He had 27 catches for 488 yards and five touchdowns. By 2020, he was Penn State's top receiver. He had an amazing game against Ohio State, catching eight passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns. He also became one of only three Big Ten players since 2000 to have a punt return touchdown and over 100 receiving yards in the same game. He finished the 2020 season with 884 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
In his senior year in 2021, Dotson continued to shine. He broke a school record for receiving yards in a single game against Maryland. He caught 11 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns in that game.
Dotson finished his college career as one of Penn State's best receivers ever. He was second in school history for career catches (183) and single-season catches (91 in 2021). He was also second in career touchdowns (25) and single-season touchdowns (12 in 2021). In May 2022, he graduated from Penn State.

Professional Football Career
Washington Commanders (2022–2023)
The Washington Commanders picked Jahan Dotson in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. He was the 16th player chosen overall. He signed a four-year contract worth $15 million.
In his very first NFL game in 2022, Dotson helped the Commanders win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He caught three passes for 40 yards and scored two touchdowns. Because of his great start, he was named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week.
Later in the 2022 season, Dotson had a hamstring injury. This kept him out of five games. He returned in week 10. He was again named Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week in week 15. He caught four passes for 105 yards and a touchdown against the New York Giants. Dotson finished his first NFL season with 35 catches for 523 yards and seven touchdowns.
In 2023, his second year, Dotson played in all 17 games. He caught 49 passes for 518 yards and four touchdowns.
Philadelphia Eagles (2024–Present)
On August 22, 2024, the Commanders traded Dotson to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles also received a fifth-round draft pick. In return, the Commanders got a conditional third-round pick and two seventh-round picks in the 2025 NFL draft.
In the 2024 season, Dotson had 19 catches for 219 yards with the Eagles. He scored a receiving touchdown in the Eagles' 22–10 win over the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
Dotson and the Eagles went on to play in Super Bowl LIX. He had two catches for 42 yards in the Eagles' 40–22 championship win over the Kansas City Chiefs. His first catch, a 27-yard play, set up the Eagles' first touchdown of the game. This helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl!
