Jakob Jantscher (born January 8, 1989) is an Austrian professional footballer. He plays as a winger or striker. Currently, he plays for the 2. Liga club ASK Voitsberg.

Jakob Jantscher's Football Journey
Jakob Jantscher was born in Graz, Austria. He began his football career at a young age. He played for local clubs like SC Unterpremstätten and LUV Graz. When he was 14, he joined Sturm Graz in 2003.
Early Career at Sturm Graz
Jantscher made his first team debut for Sturm Graz on October 20, 2007. He came into the game against Red Bull Salzburg. He scored his first goal on November 24, 2007, in a match against SCR Altach.
Moving to Red Bull Salzburg and Loan
On June 3, 2010, Jantscher signed a four-year contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg. Later, on September 6, 2012, he went on a one-year loan to Dynamo Moscow in Russia. Dynamo Moscow had the chance to sign him permanently, but they decided not to.
Playing in the Netherlands and Switzerland
After his loan, Jantscher moved to the Dutch club NEC Nijmegen on September 1, 2013. He played there for one season. His team was relegated, meaning they moved down to a lower league. On June 24, 2016, Jantscher transferred to the Turkish team Çaykur Rizespor. He also played for Luzern in Switzerland from 2014 to 2016.
Return to Sturm Graz and Recent Clubs
On May 9, 2018, Jantscher helped Sturm Graz win the 2017–18 Austrian Cup. They beat Red Bull Salzburg in extra time. On August 30, 2023, Jantscher joined Hong Kong Premier League club Kitchee. In June 2024, he returned to Austria. He signed with ASK Voitsberg, a club that had just been promoted to the 2. Liga.
Jakob Jantscher's International Career
Jakob Jantscher has also played for the Austrian national team. He played five times for the under-19 and under-20 teams. He also played twice for the Austria U21 team.
Senior National Team Debut
His first game for the senior Austrian team was on June 6, 2009. This was a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Serbia.
First International Goal
Jantscher scored his first goal for Austria in a friendly match against Spain. He scored Austria's only goal in a 5–1 defeat. He also represented Austria at the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.
