Phillip Jamall Broussard was born on August 19, 1981. He is a former American football player who played as a wide receiver. A wide receiver is a player whose main job is to catch passes from the quarterback. Jamall played college football at several schools, including Texas Tech and San Jose State.
Jamall is also the older brother of John Broussard, who also played as a wide receiver in the NFL.

Jamall Broussard's Early Life and College Years
Jamall Broussard graduated from Kingwood High School in Houston, Texas in 1999. After high school, he spent a year at the Naval Academy Preparatory School. Then, he enrolled at Texas Tech University.
Playing for the Texas Tech Red Raiders
During his first year at Texas Tech, Jamall played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He was a "walk-on" player, meaning he joined the team without a special scholarship. Even so, coaches were impressed by his skills and potential.
Moving to Other Colleges
In 2001, Jamall transferred to the College of the Canyons. The next year, he signed with San Jose State University. He continued to play college football there before moving on to his professional career.
Jamall Broussard's Professional Football Career
After the 2004 NFL draft, Jamall Broussard began his professional football journey. He signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as a free agent on April 27, 2004. This meant he wasn't chosen in the draft but was still picked up by a team.
Playing in the NFL
Later in 2004, on October 14, the Carolina Panthers signed Jamall. He played in eight games for the Panthers that year. In 2005, the Panthers moved him to their practice squad, which is a group of players who train with the team but don't usually play in games.
Other Teams and Leagues
Jamall continued to move between different teams. On June 29, 2006, he signed with the Miami Dolphins. Over his career, he also played for teams like the Cologne Centurions in NFL Europe, the Houston Texans, and the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He also played in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the Philadelphia Soul and the San Jose SaberCats.
