James Allen Worthy is an American singer, songwriter, and music producer. His debut solo EP Blu Leisure was released in 2019 with guest appearances from Tony Terry, Sonna Rele, Kalenna Harper, and Whodini.
Biography
Worthy spent his teenage years in Atlanta, Georgia graduating from Martin Luther King Jr. High School (Georgia) in Atlanta. He began songwriting, and producing which granted him to work with artists such as Robin S..
In 2017, Worthy appeared in the From the Bottom Up (TV series) Season 1. Later in 2017 he joined the duo group Kings X2 where they released their debut single "Wine For Me". The song peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot Singles Chart.
In 2019, Worthy embarked on his career as a recording artist, and performer. His debut EP, "Blu Leisure", was released January 11, 2019 via Empire Distribution. Upon not much commercial success with the initial project he followed up with his sophomore EP "Kaleidoscopes" in 2020 featuring guest appearances from Drag-On, Ruff Endz, Truth Hurts, and Ray Lavender.
Following up to 2022 he released the House music single "See It My Way" which featured singer Robin S. The song peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes Dance Chart upon its release.
"Gipp N Worthy" is a collaboration EP between Worthy, and Big Gipp was released in 2023. The lead single TOTW peaked at No. 91 on the Billboard R&B Digital Song Sales chart alongside No. 1 on the Amazon Music Best Sellers Chart.
In 2024 he launched his Label imprint Humble Sound Records.
