Park Ji-min (Hangul: 박지민; born July 5, 1997), known professionally as Jamie or Jamie Park, is a talented South Korean singer, songwriter, and television host. She became famous after winning the first season of the TV show K-pop Star. Jamie was also part of the singing duo 15& and the project group M.O.L.A. For many years, she was a friendly co-host on the TV show After School Club.

Early Life and School
Jamie was born on July 5, 1997, in Daejeon, South Korea. She lived in Thailand for eight years and attended the Garden International School Bangkok. While there, she was given the English name Jamie. Her family now lives in Seoul, South Korea.
Jamie is very good at languages! She speaks Korean, which is her first language, and she is also fluent in English. She knows some basic Thai too. In 2016, Jamie graduated from the Hanlim School of Performing Arts. Her group member Baek Yerin and Yugyeom from Got7 also graduated from the same school.

Jamie's journey in music began with a big TV competition.
K-pop Star and 15&
In 2011, Jamie joined the first season of a popular TV competition called K-pop Star. She won the entire show! This gave her an amazing chance to sign with one of the biggest music companies in Korea: YG, SM, or JYPE. On May 21, 2012, Jamie decided to join JYP Entertainment.
After winning, Jamie also received a new car and a large sum of money. She was even offered a role in a TV drama and a chance to be a model for commercials.
On September 19, 2012, it was announced that Jamie would debut in a duo with Baek Yerin. Their duo was called 15&. They released their first song, "I Dream," on October 5, 2012. Their first official performance was on the music show Inkigayo on October 7. The group 15& later stopped making music together after February 2015, and they officially broke up when Jamie left JYP Entertainment.
Starting a Solo Career
In July 2014, Jamie became a co-host for Arirang TV's After School Club. She was the longest-serving host on the show, working with many other hosts like Eric Nam and eaJ.
On March 31, 2015, Park Jin-young, the head of JYP Entertainment, announced that Jamie would start her solo music career. She released her first solo song, "Hopeless Love," on April 5, using the name Jimin Park. She performed this song for the first time before the finals of K-pop Star 4.
Jamie also worked with other artists. On May 19, 2015, she released a duet called "Dream" with Eric Nam for a charity project. The song came out on May 28, 2015.
On August 14, 2015, Jamie shared that she had formed a project group with Seung-youn from UNIQ and rapper Nathan. Their group was named M.O.L.A, which stands for "Make Our Life Awesome." They released their first song, "My Way," on August 20. Their second song, "Trick or Treat," was released on October 31, where Jamie also showed her skills as a rapper.
On August 23, 2016, Jamie released her first mini-album, 19 to 20, with the main song 'Try'. Jamie explained that 19 to 20 was about her own story. She hoped her fans would feel a stronger connection to her through this album, which she helped compose herself.
On September 4, 2018, Jamie released her second mini-album, Jiminxjamie. She helped write many of the songs on this album.
After her seven-year contract with JYP Entertainment ended, Jamie left the company on August 6, 2019.
On April 21, 2020, it was announced that Jamie had signed a new contract with Warner Music Korea. She decided to continue her music career using her stage name, Jamie.
On September 3, 2020, Jamie made her first comeback under her new agency with the song "Numbers," featuring Changmo. Her second song, "Apollo 11," featuring Jay Park, was released on November 11, 2020. On December 8, 2020, Jamie also released a holiday song called "5 Christmas Languages." On September 15, 2021, she released the digital single "No Numbers," featuring Jmin.
2022–Present
On February 3, 2022, Jamie released the English digital single "Pity Party."
After hosting After School Club for over seven years, Jamie confirmed on August 12, 2022, that she was leaving the show. She wanted to focus more on her music career and work on her upcoming album. Her last appearance on After School Club was on August 16, 2022.
On August 17, Jamie confirmed that she was preparing for a comeback in October. She was getting ready to release a new mini-album. On August 29, 2022, her label announced Jamie's new mini-album, One Bad Night, which was released on October 5.
On August 30, 2022, Jamie shared a poster for her North American tour. She performed concerts in seven cities: Los Angeles, Vancouver, Toronto, Brooklyn (New York), Dallas, Seattle, and San Francisco. The tour took place from October 10 to October 23.
On January 5, 2023, Warner Music Korea announced that Jamie's contract with them had ended. They thanked her for her hard work and dedication.
Helping Others
Jamie is also known for her kindness and charity work.
In October 2012, Jamie donated 50 million won (about $45,000 USD) to the Hanbit Performing Arts Company. This company helps blind musicians. Jamie became interested in their work after meeting a fellow K-pop Star contestant, Kim Soo-hwan, who attends the company. Jamie said she wanted to help others who love music as much as she does. She also donated another 50 million won to World Vision, a charity organization.
On May 28, 2015, Jamie worked with singer Eric Nam on their song "Dream." They decided to donate all the money made from this song to charity.
