James Harvey Kennedy (born May 25, 1970) is an American actor and comedian. He is famous for his roles in movies like the Scream film series, where he played Randy Meeks. He also starred in Malibu's Most Wanted and Son of the Mask. On TV, he hosted The Jamie Kennedy Experiment and played Professor Eli James in Ghost Whisperer. He has also lent his voice to cartoon characters.

Early Life and Beginnings
Jamie Kennedy was born on May 25, 1970. His birthplace was Upper Darby Township, a town near Philadelphia. He went to Monsignor Bonner High School and finished in 1988. After high school, Jamie moved to Hollywood. He started his career there as an extra in movies. He also worked on making different voices.
Jamie Kennedy's Career

When Jamie first arrived in Los Angeles, he found it hard to get acting jobs. He worked as a host at a restaurant and tried out for many commercials. He couldn't find an agent. So, he decided to become his own agent! He even created a fake agent name, "Marty Power," to get attention from real agents.
Breaking Through in Hollywood
Jamie Kennedy became well-known in the late 1990s. This was when he played Randy Meeks in the Scream horror movie series. He was a supporting character in the first and third movies. In the second movie, he was one of the main actors.
Later, he starred as Tim Avery in the movie Son of the Mask (2005). This role earned him a nomination for a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actor. Jamie later talked about his experiences with this movie on his YouTube channel. The movie's tough reviews also inspired him to host a documentary called Heckler in 2007. This film looked at how stand-up comedians deal with audiences who are not always kind.
TV Shows and Voice Acting
Jamie Kennedy also created a production company. Through this company, he produced shows like The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. This was a sketch comedy show on the WB channel. It became very popular in 2002. He also co-wrote the MTV show Blowin' Up (2006).
From 2008 to 2010, Jamie played Professor Eli James. This was a main role in the CBS drama series Ghost Whisperer. He also did a lot of voice acting. He voiced characters in the animated TV shows The Cleveland Show and Fanboy & Chum Chum. In Fanboy & Chum Chum, he voiced Kyle, a wizard who secretly wanted to be friends with the main characters.
Jamie also lent his voice to the video game ESPN NFL 2K5. He played a celebrity opponent with his own football team.
Other Projects
While working on his movie Malibu's Most Wanted, Jamie wrote a book. It was an autobiography called Wannabe: A Hollywood Experiment. The book shares his journey in Hollywood. It talks about his early struggles and his dream of becoming a star.
Jamie is also a stand-up comedian. He released a stand-up special called Unwashed: The Stand-Up Special in 2006. He has also appeared in TV shows like Criminal Minds.
In 2012, Jamie hosted a New Year's Eve TV special. He also starred in the movie Lost & Found in Armenia (2013). In this film, he played an American tourist accused of being a spy. He continued to act in many films, including Tremors 5: Bloodlines (2015) and Trick (2019).
Personal Life
Jamie Kennedy was active in California's tourism campaigns. He appeared in several commercials with the former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
