Jamien Sherwood (born January 12, 2000) is an American professional football player. He plays as a linebacker for the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football at Auburn University.

Early Life and High School
Jamien Sherwood grew up in Jensen Beach, Florida. He went to Jensen Beach High School. After high school, he decided to play college football. He chose to attend Auburn University.
College Football Career
Jamien started playing college football at Auburn in 2018. In his first year, he played in 13 games. He made 23 tackles and even caught one interception. He also had 1.5 sacks.
As a sophomore in 2019, he played in 13 games again. He made 43 tackles that year. In 2020, his junior year, Jamien became a starter for the first time. He had a great season with 75 tackles and one sack.
Professional Football Career
Joining the New York Jets
The New York Jets picked Jamien Sherwood in the 2021 NFL draft. He was chosen in the fifth round, as the 146th overall pick. Jamien started his very first NFL game in Week 1. This game was against the Carolina Panthers.
Injury and Return
Later in 2021, Jamien got a serious injury. He tore his Achilles tendon in Week 7. This injury meant he could not play for the rest of the season. As a rookie, he played in five games and started four of them. He made 15 tackles before his injury.
Jamien came back strong for the 2022 season. He played in all 17 games that year. He made 16 tackles, mostly playing on special teams.
