Starting in the NBA
Jamison Brewer started his professional career in 2001. The Indiana Pacers picked him in the second round of the 2001 NBA draft. He was the 40th player chosen overall.
He played for the Pacers for three years. During this time, he played in 36 regular season games. He averaged a little more than two points per game. On December 20, 2003, he scored his career-high of 12 points. This happened in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Moving to Other Teams
In 2004, the New York Knicks signed Brewer. He played in 18 games for them. In February 2005, he was traded to the San Antonio Spurs. However, he did not play any games for the Spurs. The Knicks signed him again before the 2005–06 season. But he was released right away.
Jamison Brewer's last NBA game was on February 11, 2005. He played for about four and a half minutes. This game was a loss to the Boston Celtics. His NBA career averages were 1.6 points, 1.0 assists, and 0.9 rebounds.
Playing Around the World
After his time in the NBA, Brewer played for several teams overseas. He played for KK Cibona in Croatia in 2006. He also played for the Hollywood Fame from 2006 to 2007. In 2007, he joined Dexia Mons-Hainaut in Belgium. He also played for the NBA Development League team, the Bakersfield Jam, from 2007 to 2008.
Later in 2009, Brewer signed with Esporte Clube Pinheiros. This team is located in São Paulo, Brazil. He played there until the end of the Brazilian League season.
For the 2010–2011 season, Brewer signed with BC Odesa in Ukraine. He played in the Ukrainian Basketball Super League. However, he was released from the team in January 2011. In February 2011, Brewer signed with Eisbären Bremerhaven. This team is in Germany.
