Janne Da Arc (ジャンヌダルク, Jannu Daruku) was a Japanese rock band from Hirakata, Osaka. Their music style was called visual kei, which means they often wore special costumes and makeup. People sometimes called the band "Janne" or "JDA" for short.

History of Janne Da Arc
Janne Da Arc started on May 9, 1996. When they first began, they wore makeup similar to another famous Japanese band, X Japan.
The band had five members:
- Yasu was the singer.
- You played the guitar.
- Ka-Yu played the bass guitar.
- Kiyo played the keyboard.
- Shuji played the drums.
The band's name came from a character in a Japanese comic book called "Devilman".
In the early days, fans of Janne Da Arc were called "Darcar." Now, they are known as "Janner."
One of their songs, "Gettkouka," became very famous. It was used as the opening song for the television cartoon Black Jack.
Janne Da Arc stopped making music together in 2006. After that, Yasu started his own new music project called Acid Black Cherry.

- yasu (Yasunori Hayashi 林保徳) was the singer. He was born on January 27, 1975, in Hirakata, Osaka. When he was in junior high school, he started his first band. He played X Japan songs with You and Ka-Yu. In 2007, when Janne Da Arc took a break, Yasu began his solo music project, Acid Black Cherry.
- you (Yutaka Tsuda) was the guitarist. He was born on July 24, 1974, in Kobe.
- ka-yu (Kazuyuki Matsumoto) was the bass player. He was born on January 21, 1975, in Hirakata, Osaka. In 2010, he started his own new music project called DAMIJAW.
- kiyo (Masanobu Kiyose) was the keyboard player. He was born on June 27, 1974, in Hirakata, Osaka.
- shuji (Shuji Suematsu) was the drummer. He was born on November 21, 1974, in Kobe.
