Janno Ronaldo Ilagan Gibbs (born September 16, 1969) is a famous Filipino singer, songwriter, comedian, and actor. He is well-known for hosting many popular TV shows on the GMA Network, such as Eat Bulaga!, Party Pilipinas, and Sunday All Stars. Many people call him the "Philippine's King of Soul" because of his smooth singing style.

Getting His Start in Showbiz
Janno Gibbs began his career in 1986 on the teen show That's Entertainment. This show helped many young stars get started. After that, he acted in a few movies for Viva Films. He also co-hosted a TV show called "Small Brothers" in 1990. His funny personality earned him the nickname "Mokong."
Career on Television
Gibbs became a household name in the 1990s with his funny roles in sitcoms. He starred in Ober Da Bakod and Beh Bote Nga with his friend and fellow actor, Anjo Yllana.
Over the years, he hosted many popular shows. From 2001 to 2007, he was a co-host on Eat Bulaga!, one of the longest-running shows in the Philippines. He also hosted the game show Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5?, which was the Filipino version of Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?.
After working with GMA Network for 30 years, Gibbs moved to TV5 in 2015. He later appeared on shows for ABS-CBN as well, working with other famous singers like Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid. In 2020, he teamed up with Anjo Yllana again for a comedy show on Net 25 called Happy Time.

Gibbs is famous for his comedy movies. In 1994, he starred in Ober Da Bakod: Da Movie, based on his popular TV show. He also played the hero Pedro Penduko in the fantasy-comedy film Ang Pagbabalik ni Pedro Penduko in 1994 and its sequel in 2000.
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, he starred in many hit comedies like Si Mokong, si Astig at si Gamol (1997) with Andrew E. and Dennis Padilla, and Juan & Ted: Wanted (2001) with Bayani Agbayani.
Recent Work
More recently, Gibbs starred in the 2023 comedy film Hello Universe. In 2024, he both starred in and directed the action-comedy movie Itutumba Ka ng Tatay Ko, which also featured his father, Ronaldo Valdez.

In 2004, he joined GMA Records and released the album Seven. He has also released albums of love song theme songs from TV shows, called Novela, and albums of his original songs, like Little Boy and Orig. In July 2025, Gibbs returned to GMA Records.

Janno Gibbs is the son of the well-known actor Ronaldo Valdez and Maria Fe Gibbs. In 1990, he married actress Bing Loyzaga. They have two daughters, Alyssa and Gabby.
