Jano Ananidze is a former professional footballer from Georgia. He was born on October 10, 1992. Jano played as a midfielder, which means he helped both defend and attack on the field. He was known for his skill and vision in the game.

Jano Ananidze's Football Journey
Starting Strong at Spartak Moscow
Jano Ananidze joined Spartak Moscow in 2009. He first played for their junior team, scoring four goals in twelve games. His talent quickly caught the eye of the main team's coach, Valery Karpin. Jano was then moved to the senior squad.
He made his first big appearance in the Russian Cup on July 15, 2009. He even scored a goal in that game against Krasnodar. On August 1, 2009, Jano played his first regular league game in the 2009 Russian Premier League.
Youngest Goal Scorer in Russian Premier League
On October 18, 2009, Jano made history! He became the youngest player ever to score a goal in the Russian Premier League. He scored for Spartak Moscow against Lokomotiv Moscow. He was only 17 years and 8 days old at the time.
After his amazing first season, big clubs like Arsenal, Milan, and Juventus noticed him. However, Spartak Moscow wanted to keep him until he was older. In September 2012, even famous Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas mentioned Jano as a key player for the Georgian national team. Jano left Spartak Moscow in January 2020 after 13 years with the club.

Loan Spells and New Teams
On July 3, 2013, Jano went on a one-year loan to FC Rostov. Later, on January 13, 2019, he joined Krylia Sovetov Samara on loan until the end of that season.
In August 2020, he signed with Rotor Volgograd in the Russian Premier League. However, his time there was short because of a knee injury. His contract was ended in September 2020.
Returning to Georgia
On April 29, 2021, Jano returned to his home country, Georgia. He joined Dinamo Tbilisi. But he only played a short time for them. In December 2021, Dinamo Tbilisi announced he was leaving.
In April 2022, Jano Ananidze announced he was retiring from football. He had faced many injuries throughout his career. Before retiring, he played for Dinamo Batumi for three months.
Representing His Country: International Career
Jano Ananidze was a very important player for his country, Georgia. In March 2009, UEFA, the European football organization, named him one of the key players for the Georgian U-17 team.
In July 2009, he was invited to play for the Georgia national team and he accepted. He proudly stated that he would play for his country.
He made his first appearance for Georgia on September 5, 2009, against Italy. Jano scored his first goal for Georgia on November 17, 2010, against Slovenia. He scored another goal from a penalty kick against Moldova on November 11, 2011, helping Georgia win 2–0.
