Jared Green (born April 1, 1989) is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). A wide receiver is a player who catches passes from the quarterback.
Jared played college football for the Virginia Cavaliers and the Southern Jaguars. After college, he joined the Carolina Panthers in 2012. He also played briefly for the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders. Jared stopped playing professional football in 2014. Since then, he has focused on his business and helping others through his nonprofit organization.

Jared Green was born in Vienna, Virginia, on April 1, 1989. He has two sisters, an older one named Jerrell and a younger one named Joi. Jared went to Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia.
College Football Career
Jared played college football at the University of Virginia from 2008 to 2010. For his final year, he moved to Southern University and played in the 2011 football season.
During his time in college, Jared caught a total of 52 passes. He gained 670 receiving yards and scored four touchdowns.
Playing for Virginia
In his first year at Virginia (2008), Jared played in 12 games. He caught 12 passes for 144 yards and scored one touchdown. In a game against Miami on November 1, 2008, he caught three passes for 25 yards and scored a touchdown.
In his second year (2009), he played in 11 games. He caught 15 passes for 104 yards but did not score any touchdowns.
In his third year (2010), he played in 11 games. He caught 8 passes for 95 yards and scored one touchdown. On September 25, 2010, he had a good game against the Virginia Military Institute. He caught four passes for 63 yards and scored a touchdown, helping his team win 48–7.
Playing for Southern
In his senior year at Southern (2011), Jared played in 11 games and started in three of them. He finished the season with 17 catches for 307 yards and two touchdowns. On October 15, 2011, he had his best college game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He caught 7 passes for 141 yards and scored one touchdown.
Professional Football Career

Carolina Panthers
On May 11, 2012, Jared signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent. He was released from the team on August 31, 2012. Dallas Cowboys
On January 7, 2013, Jared signed a contract with the Dallas Cowboys. This was a "future/reserve" contract, meaning he would join the team for the next season. He was released by the Cowboys on August 26, 2013.
Oakland Raiders

Personal Life
Jared Green is the son of Darrell Green, a famous cornerback who is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Darrell Green played his entire career for the Washington Redskins. Jared had the honor of introducing his father when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008.
Jared is married to his wife, Joanna. They have four daughters together. He is also the founder and CEO of Engage 365 LLC and a nonprofit organization called The Green Dream.
