Jared's Football Journey
Before joining the AFL, Jared played football for the Woodville-West Torrens Football Club. This team is part of the SANFL.
The Crows chose him in the 2007 Rookie Draft. He was the 25th player picked.
Jared started on the 'rookie list'. This is like a training squad for new players. Later, he moved to the 'senior list'. This meant he could play in the main AFL games.
He made his AFL debut in 2009. His first game was against Collingwood. Jared was known for his speed and strong tackling.
After the 2014 AFL season, Jared was 'delisted'. This means his contract with the Adelaide Crows ended.
In February 2015, Jared got a short contract with Essendon. He played as a "top-up" player. This happened because many Essendon players could not play at that time.
