Jasmine Sandlas (born September 4, 1985) is an American singer, TV star, and songwriter. She is best known for singing Punjabi songs. Jasmine was born in Jalandhar, India and grew up in Stockton, California.
Her first song, "Muskan," came out in 2008 and became very popular. In 2014, she started singing for Bollywood movies. Her song "Yaar Na Miley" for the film Kick became a huge hit. It topped music charts and people loved her unique singing style. More recently, she sang "Taras" for the 2024 movie Munjya and "Nasha" for Raid-2 (released in 2025).
Jasmine has won several awards for her music. These include "Most Popular Song of the Year 2016" at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards. She also received a Screen Award for Best Female Playback. She has shared her story on TEDx Talks, MTV Coke Studio, and Spoken Word platforms.

Early Life and Music Start
Jasmine Kaur Sandlas was born in 1985 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Her family is Punjabi Sikh Labana. Her mother encouraged her to sing from a young age. In school, she joined many singing contests. She was inspired by many Punjabi folk singers.
When she was about 12 or 13, her family moved to California. There, she found inspiration in West Coast music. She started writing her own songs when she was only 16 years old.

First Songs and Albums
Jasmine's first song, "Muskan," was part of her album The Diamond. It came out in 2008 and was a big success around the world. After this album, she became well-known in the Punjabi music industry.
In 2012, her album Gulabi was released by Sony Music. She worked with the rapper Bohemia on this album.
Singing for Bollywood Movies
Jasmine started her career in Bollywood in 2014. She sang the song "Devil-Yaar Naa Miley" with Yo Yo Honey Singh for the movie Kick.
In 2015, Jasmine released a song called "Punjab De Javak." She also sang two songs, "Ishq Da Sutta" and "Raat Jashan Di," for the movies One Night Stand and Zorawar in 2016.
Angels of Rock TV Show
Jasmine was part of a TV show on MTV India called Angels of Rock. This show focused on empowering women. Jasmine and three other artists, Shalmali Kholgade, Akasa Singh, and Anusha Mani, rode bikes from Mumbai to the Atarri border. They traveled through different parts of India.
Along their journey, they met women who had achieved great things in various fields. They used their voices to talk about important issues. Each episode ended with a song. The first episode aired on July 31, 2016.

In 2020, Jasmine released her third album, What's in a Name. She put it on her own YouTube channel. The album's music was produced by Intense and Hark.
Her album The Great Punjabi Experiment (TGME) came out in 2021. This was an experimental album where Jasmine wanted to see what kind of music people liked. It had 9 songs. The first song, "Gaana Challe Ya Na," was released on March 8, 2021. The last song from the album, "Dil Tutteya," came out on February 10, 2022.
In 2022, Jasmine released a short album called "Tini" on her birthday. It had four songs: "Yakeen," "Kehnda Hi Nahi," "Hava Vich," and "Kehri Gali." She also released a single song called "Jee Jeha Karda" on November 7, 2022.
Latest Projects
Jasmine's first song of 2023 was "Jehri Ve," which she sang with Gippy Grewal. This song was part of the Punjabi movie Mitran Da Naa Chalda.
Another song, "Ittar," was released on March 7, 2023. It was written by Jaani, and B Praak created the music.
