Jaylen Tairique Adams (born May 4, 1996) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a point guard for the Sydney Kings in Australia's NBL. Jaylen also played college basketball for the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. In 2018, he was named co-Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year.

High School and College Basketball Journey
Jaylen Adams played high school basketball at Mount St. Joseph. There, he helped his team win the MIAA A Conference championship three times. After high school, he decided to play college basketball for St. Bonaventure.
College Highlights
As a sophomore, Jaylen averaged 17.9 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game. He was named a first-team All-Atlantic 10 player. In his junior year, he was one of the best players in the Atlantic 10 Conference. He finished second in scoring with 20.6 points per game. He was also first in assists with 6.5 per game and second in steals with 2.1 per game. For the second year in a row, he was named to the First Team All-Atlantic 10.
Jaylen missed the first six games of his senior season. In February 2018, he had two amazing games, scoring 40 and 44 points. As a senior, he was the fourth-highest scorer in the Atlantic 10. He averaged 19.1 points and 5.2 assists per game. He led St. Bonaventure to a great 26–8 record. They even upset UCLA in the NCAA tournament. He shared the conference Player of the Year award with Peyton Aldridge.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Jaylen Adams started his professional career.
Atlanta Hawks (2018–2019)
Jaylen was not chosen in the 2018 NBA draft. However, the Atlanta Hawks signed him to a two-way contract. This meant he would play for both the Hawks and their minor league team, the Erie BayHawks. He made his NBA debut on October 17, 2018. He also scored 23 points in his first G League game. In February 2019, the Hawks signed him to a longer contract. But he was later waived by the team in July 2019.
Wisconsin Herd (2019–2020)
In August 2019, Jaylen signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was then sent to their G League team, the Wisconsin Herd. He had a season-high 39 points in a game against the Grand Rapids Drive. On March 4, 2020, he made a career-high 14 assists. He averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game for the Herd.
Portland Trail Blazers (2020)
After the G League season, the Portland Trail Blazers signed Jaylen. This happened during the COVID-19 NBA restart. He joined the team to replace another player.
Milwaukee Bucks (2020–2021)
On November 24, 2020, the Milwaukee Bucks signed Jaylen to another two-way contract. He played in seven games for the Bucks. He was later waived by the team in March 2021.
Sydney Kings (2021–2022)
In August 2021, Jaylen Adams signed with the Sydney Kings in Australia. He had a fantastic season with them. He was named the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP). He also helped lead the Kings to win the NBL championship in 2022.
Crvena zvezda (2022)
On July 29, 2022, Jaylen signed with Crvena zvezda in the ABA League. He left the team in November 2022.
Qingdao Eagles (2022–2023)
In December 2022, Jaylen joined the Qingdao Eagles in China. He played nine games for them.
Return to Sydney Kings and Liaoning Flying Leopards (2023–present)
On July 12, 2023, Jaylen signed with the Sydney Kings again. This was his second time playing for the team. On January 14, 2024, he scored 39 points in a big win.
In March 2024, Jaylen also played five games for the Liaoning Flying Leopards in China.
On July 1, 2024, he signed with the Kings for the 2024–25 NBL season. He was out of action in October 2024 due to a back injury. Later, in December 2024, he scored 41 points in a game. On January 24, 2025, he scored 43 points.

About Jaylen's Family
Jaylen comes from a family of athletes! His father, Darryl, played football for the Maryland Terrapins football team. His mother, Yalonda, played basketball at Wesley College in Delaware. Jaylen's younger brother, Brendan, also played college basketball for the UConn Huskies and George Washington Revolutionaries.
