Jean-Paul Troadec's Career

Jean-Paul Troadec studied at two important schools in France. He graduated from École polytechnique and École nationale de l'aviation civile. In 1975, he became the head of the "engine and research" department. This team focused on how aircraft engines work and new ideas for them. Later, in 1980, he moved to a department that checked equipment, pollution, and noise from planes. He then became the head of the department for Airbus engines and the CFM56 engine.

From 1985 to 1993, Mr. Troadec led the Service d'exploitation de la formation aéronautique. This service was in charge of training people for jobs in aviation. In 1993, he was put in charge of the air traffic department. This department manages how planes fly safely in the sky. After that, until 2002, he was the head of the human resources department.
