Jeffrey Michael Jordan was born on November 18, 1988. He is an American who used to play college basketball. He played for the University of Illinois and the University of Central Florida. Jeffrey is the oldest child of the famous Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan. Today, Jeffrey Jordan is a co-founder of Heir Jordan. This is a foundation he runs with his younger brother, Marcus, to help others.

High School Years: A Young Athlete

Jeffrey Jordan gained a lot of attention from local and national news when he was in high school. In 2007, three of his high school basketball games were even shown on ESPN. While playing at Loyola Academy, he was a starter for three years. He was also chosen for the All-Catholic League team twice. In 2007, he was picked to play in the special Jordan Brand Classic game.

Besides basketball, Jordan also played football during his tenth grade year.

College Basketball Journey

Jeffrey Jordan finished high school at Loyola Academy on May 26, 2007. He received offers for scholarships from universities like Valparaiso and Loyola University Chicago. Other schools, including Davidson, Penn State, Northwestern, and the University of Illinois, wanted him to join their teams as a preferred walk-on. A walk-on is a player who joins a team without a sports scholarship.

Jordan chose to play as a preferred walk-on at the University of Illinois. He started at the university in 2007, studying psychology. He also had an academic scholarship to help with his studies. On January 22, 2009, the university announced that Jordan would receive a full athletic scholarship. This meant he would get financial help for playing basketball.

On June 24, 2009, Jordan shared that he was leaving the University of Illinois basketball team. He wanted to focus more on his schoolwork and what he would do after basketball. During the summer of 2009, he worked as an intern at Nike. Later, Jordan decided to return to the team. However, after the 2009–10 season, he was allowed to transfer to the University of Central Florida. His brother, Marcus, also transferred there.

In January 2012, Jordan left the UCF team for personal reasons.
