Jenkins is a city in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States. In 2020, about 490 people lived there. It is part of the Brainerd area, which is a group of towns and cities close to each other.

History of Jenkins
A post office opened in Jenkins in 1895. The city was named after George W. Jenkins, who worked with lumber in the area. Jenkins became a village in 1904. Later, in 1969, it officially became a city.
Geography and Location
Jenkins is located in the northwest part of Crow Wing County. The city covers about 4.51 square miles (11.68 km2) of land and water. Most of this area, about 4.48 square miles (11.60 km2), is land. Only a small part, about 0.03 square miles (0.08 km2), is water.
Jenkins is known as a gateway to the beautiful Whitefish Chain of Lakes nearby. These lakes are popular for outdoor activities.
Roads and Highways
Minnesota State Highway 371 is the main road that goes through Jenkins. Other important roads include County Roads 15, 16, and 145. Jenkins is also part of the larger Brainerd Lakes Area.
