Coaching Journey

Jerome Henderson has had a long and interesting career as a football coach. He has worked with several NFL teams, helping players improve their skills.

New York Jets Coaching

Henderson started his coaching career with the New York Jets. He spent two years there, focusing on coaching the defensive backs. These are the players who try to stop the opposing team's passes.

Cleveland Browns Coaching

After his time with the Jets, Henderson moved to the Cleveland Browns. He worked there for three seasons. He continued to coach the defensive backs, helping them learn important strategies.

Dallas Cowboys Coaching

In 2012, Henderson joined the Dallas Cowboys. He worked with a coach he knew from the Browns, Rob Ryan. Henderson stayed with the Cowboys until the end of the 2015 season.

Atlanta Falcons Coaching

Henderson then became a coach for the Atlanta Falcons. In the 2016 season, Henderson and the Falcons had a fantastic year. They made it all the way to Super Bowl LI. This big game was played on February 5, 2017, against the New England Patriots.

Even though the Falcons played well, they lost a very close game in overtime. The final score was 34–28. Henderson worked for the Falcons for four seasons. He was their secondary coach and helped with the defensive passing game. The Falcons let him go after the 2019 season.

New York Giants Coaching

In January 2024, Henderson interviewed for a higher coaching position with the Giants. He wanted to become the defensive coordinator. While he didn't get that specific job, he did get a new title.
