Jerry and the Raiders is an exciting Canadian cartoon show. It was created by Nancy Trites-Botkin and Mark Shekter. This series is about a boy whose action figures magically come to life! It first aired in Canada on TVOKids (English) and Ici Radio-Canada Télé (French). Later, it also came to the United States on Qubo.
The show follows a 7-year-old boy named Jerry. His life gets super funny and wild when his two action figures, Bakko and Gant, suddenly become real. These two figures are called "The Raiders." They are super curious about everything around them. They see every moment as a huge adventure! This often leads Jerry and his 4-year-old sister, Nicole, into all sorts of household messes. Jerry usually has to clean up after them. He also helps solve the everyday mysteries that The Raiders discover. The show is mostly made for kids aged 4 to 8.
What the Show is About
When Jerry turns 7, he gets a gift of two new action figures. They are called Galactic Raiders. Jerry isn't very excited about them. He decides not to open them and puts them away. He plans to give them away later.
The Raiders Come to Life
One night, Jerry hears a dripping sound. Suddenly, the Galactic Raiders, Bakko and Gant, magically come to life! They break out of their boxes. They try to find out what is making the dripping sound. The Raiders use their cool gadgets to explore Jerry's room. They make a lot of noise, which wakes Jerry up.
At first, Jerry thinks he is dreaming. He can't believe his action figures are alive! But then, his sister Nicole also sees them. Jerry realizes it's true: his toys are special. He knows he has to keep them a secret from his parents and friends.
Everyday Adventures
Every episode gives Jerry new challenges. These can be school assignments or chores. They can also be everyday activities, like taking care of a pet or playing safely. The Raiders get very confused by these normal activities. They immediately think these tasks are big mysteries. Sometimes, they even think they are facing a scary villain!
Jerry, Nicole, and the Raiders work together through each challenge. They discover new and interesting things happening around them. The show teaches that things are not always what they seem. Simple everyday things can turn out to be amazing adventures.
