Jillian Michaels was born on February 18, 1974. She is an American expert in fitness, nutrition, and business. She is also a well-known media personality and author. Many people know her from her appearances on the NBC TV show The Biggest Loser. She has also been on the talk show The Doctors. In 2015, she hosted a show called Sweat, INC on Spike. Later, in 2016, her own reality TV series Just Jillian started on E!.

Early Life and Training

Jillian Michaels was born in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, JoAnn, was a psychotherapist, and her father, Douglas McKarus, was a lawyer. She grew up in a place called Tarzana.

Jillian went to California State University, Northridge. While studying, she worked as a bartender and a personal trainer to support herself. In 2002, after a short time working as an agent, Michaels opened her own sports medicine center. It was called Sky Sport & Spa and was located in Beverly Hills.

The Biggest Loser TV Show

Jillian Michaels became a trainer on the reality series The Biggest Loser when it began in 2004. She was the trainer for the Red Team for the first two seasons. After she left in 2006, another trainer named Kim Lyons took her place.

Michaels returned to the show in 2007. This time, she trained the Black Team. She competed against Lyons' Red Team and Bob Harper's Blue Team. Jillian Michaels also worked as a trainer on the Australian version of The Biggest Loser from 2006 to 2008.

In 2010, Michaels announced that the eleventh season of the show would be her last. Her final appearance on The Biggest Loser was in May 2011. However, she returned for Season 14 in 2012. She also came back for Season 15, which started in October 2013. She did not return for Season 16.
