He was known for playing as an attacking midfielder, which means he helped both defend and score goals. Playing Career Highlights
Joaquín Peiró started his amazing football journey at Atlético Madrid in his hometown of Madrid. He played for Atlético for eight seasons, scoring 95 goals in 166 games in La Liga, which is Spain's top football league.
Moving to Italy
In 1962, Peiró moved to Italy to play for Torino. After two years, he joined Inter Milan, one of the biggest clubs in the world. At Inter, he achieved great success. He won two Serie A titles, which is Italy's top league. He also helped Inter win the European Cup in 1965, which is the most important club competition in Europe. Peiró also won the Intercontinental Cup twice with Inter.
After his time at Inter, Peiró played for Roma for four seasons. He then returned to Atlético Madrid for a short period before retiring as a player.
