Joe Milton, born on March 6, 2000, is a talented American football player. He plays as a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the pros, Joe played college football for both the Michigan Wolverines and the Tennessee Volunteers. The New England Patriots picked him in the 2024 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football

Joe Milton grew up in Orlando, Florida. He went to Olympia High School there. After high school, he decided to play college football at the University of Michigan.

College Football Journey

Playing for Michigan

When Joe first joined the Michigan Wolverines in 2018, he was a backup quarterback. For his first two years (2018 and 2019), he played in eight games. He completed 6 of 11 passes for 117 yards and scored one passing touchdown. He also ran for two touchdowns.

In 2020, Joe competed to become Michigan's main starting quarterback. The season was shorter due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Joe started the first three games. As the season went on, he shared playing time with another quarterback, Cade McNamara. That year, Joe passed for 1,077 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for 109 yards and one touchdown.

Transferring to Tennessee

Joe led the team to wins over South Carolina and Texas A&M. He passed for 271 yards and two touchdowns in a game against Alabama. He finished his final season with the Volunteers with an 8–4 record. He decided not to play in the team's bowl game.

Joining the New England Patriots

Joe Milton has a famous cousin, Anquan Boldin. Anquan played in the NFL from 2003 to 2016. He won a Super Bowl XLVII with the Baltimore Ravens.
