Jolbert Alexis Cabrera Ramírez, born on December 8, 1972, is a former professional baseball player from Colombia. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for several teams. These teams included the Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle Mariners, and Cincinnati Reds. Jolbert was a versatile player who could hit and throw with his right hand. His younger brother, Orlando Cabrera, was also a famous baseball player. They even played on the same team, the Ottawa Lynx, in 1997. The Lynx was a minor league team for the Montreal Expos.

Playing in Major League Baseball
Jolbert Cabrera started his MLB career with the Cleveland Indians. His first game was on April 12, 1998. That year, he played in only one game.
A Great Season in Cleveland
The year 2001 was one of Cabrera's best seasons with the Indians. He had a batting average of .261. He also hit 3 home runs and had 38 RBI (runs batted in). Plus, he stole 10 bases! The Indians won their division that year.
A very exciting moment happened on August 5, 2001. It was a game shown on national TV. The Cleveland Indians were losing badly, 14–2, in the seventh inning. But they made an amazing comeback! They scored many runs and ended up winning 15–14. Jolbert Cabrera hit the winning single that ended the game.
Moving to Other Teams
In 2002, Cabrera was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. He played for them until 2004. Then, he was traded again, this time to the Seattle Mariners. He was released from the Mariners in 2005.
After that, Cabrera signed a contract with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2007. He spent most of that year playing for their minor league team, the Memphis Redbirds. Later, he signed with the Colorado Rockies.
On January 5, 2008, Cabrera joined the Cincinnati Reds. He was called up to play in the major leagues on June 10. On September 7, 2008, he hit another game-winning single. This hit helped the Reds beat the Chicago Cubs 4–3.
In 2009, he signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles. The next year, in 2010, he signed with the New York Mets.
Over his eight-year career in MLB, Jolbert Cabrera played in 609 games. He had a batting average of .257. He hit 18 home runs and had 157 RBI.
Coaching Career
After his playing days, Jolbert Cabrera became a coach. In 2017, he coached the Colombian national baseball team in the World Baseball Classic. He returned to the World Baseball Classic in 2023, this time as the team's manager.
