Jon Anders Olsson (born 17 August 1982) is a famous former freeskier and alpine ski racer from Sweden. He was born in Mora. Jon started his sports journey as a ski racer. However, when he was 16, he decided to try freestyle skiing instead.
Years later, Jon made a bet with another skier, Jens Byggmark. The goal was for Jon to return to ski racing and try to reach the 2014 Winter Olympics. He then competed in both freestyle and ski racing for a while. Jon is famous for inventing several cool new tricks, like the "DJ flip," "hexo flip," "kangaroo flip," and "tornado."
Jon also hosted big ski events. From 2005 to 2015, he ran the "Jon Olsson Invitational" (JOI), a big air competition. In 2007, it was even named the best big air event by Freeskier Magazine. He also hosted "Jon Olsson Super Sessions" (JOSS) from 2007 to 2010. This was a film contest where teams of skiers created short ski movies in Åre, Sweden. Jon's brother, Hans Olsson, is also a well-known Swedish alpine skier.
