Jonne Halttunen (born 13 December 1985) is a Finnish rally co-driver. In rally racing, the co-driver is super important! They sit next to the driver and read notes about the road ahead. These notes tell the driver about turns, jumps, and dangers. This helps the driver go as fast as possible safely. Jonne is currently the co-driver for Kalle Rovanperä, and they race a special car called the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1. Before this, they raced for a team called Škoda Motorsport.

Jonne's Rally Journey
Jonne Halttunen started his rally career in 2011 at the 2011 Rally Finland event. In 2017, he teamed up with the talented young Finnish driver Kalle Rovanperä. They began racing in a category called WRC-2. This is a step below the main World Rally Championship.
It didn't take long for them to show their skills! In just their second rally together in Australia, they won their first race in the WRC-2 class. They also scored their first points in the overall championship. They continued to win more WRC-2 races in 2018, taking victories at the 2018 Wales Rally GB and 2018 Rally Catalunya.
In 2019, Jonne and Kalle moved up to a new category called World Rally Championship-2 Pro. They kept winning, with victories in Chile and Portugal. Their great teamwork helped them lead the championship by a small margin.
Jonne Halttunen became a champion co-driver in the main World Rally Championship (WRC) in both 2022 and 2023. This means he helped his driver, Kalle Rovanperä, win the overall WRC title two years in a row!
