Volleyball Career

Playing for the University of Illinois

Jordyn was wanted by many top college volleyball teams. She chose to play for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. She committed to Illinois when she was still in high school.

While at Illinois, Jordyn was named an All-American twice. In her senior year, she was named the Big Ten Setter of the Year. She led her team to the Final Four of the NCAA tournament.

Joining the US National Team

Jordyn started training with the senior US National Team in 2018. This was while she was still in college. She quickly became a key player for the team.

She helped the team win a gold medal at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. They also won the 2019 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup. In 2021, she was named to the team for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Jordyn played in most of the matches. The USA team won gold for the third year in a row! She was even named the "Best Setter" of that tournament.

Olympic Achievements

On June 7, 2021, Jordyn was chosen for the 12-player Olympic team. This team went to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She started every match.

During a match against Italy, Jordyn got a knee injury. This meant she couldn't play in the quarterfinals. But her teammate, Micha Hancock, stepped in. The USA team still won the match! Jordyn bravely returned to play in the semifinals. She then led Team USA to their first-ever Olympic gold medal in women's indoor volleyball! Because of her amazing play, she was named the "Best Setter" of the Olympics.

Jordyn continued her professional career. She signed with Igor Gorgonzola Novara for the 2022–2023 season. However, she suffered a serious knee injury in December 2022. This injury kept her from playing for the rest of the season.

She worked hard to recover. Jordyn returned to play with the US National Team in 2024. She was again named to the Olympic roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. There, she helped her team win a silver medal.
