Playing Career Highlights
Josef Marha played in the National Hockey League (NHL), which is a top ice hockey league in North America. He played for teams like the Colorado Avalanche, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, and Chicago Blackhawks. During his time in the NHL, he played 159 games, scoring 21 goals and making 32 assists. He was picked by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1994 NHL Draft, as the 35th player overall.
Playing in Switzerland
In 2001, Josef moved to Switzerland to play for HC Davos in the National League A (NLA). He played there for 12 years and became a very important player for the team. During his time with HC Davos, he helped his team win the league championship 5 times! He announced his retirement from playing with Davos on March 17, 2013.
Return to the Czech Republic
After playing in Switzerland, Josef Marha decided to continue his career back in his home country. On April 29, 2013, he joined HC Pardubice in the Czech Extraliga, which is the top league in the Czech Republic. Later that year, on November 30, 2013, he moved to another Extraliga team, HK Hradec Kralove, where he finished his professional playing career.
