Josh Forrest, born on February 24, 1992, is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker, which is a defensive position in football. Josh played college football for the University of Kentucky. Later, the Los Angeles Rams picked him in the 2016 NFL draft.

Playing Football in College
Josh Forrest played college football for the University of Kentucky. When he first started, he was a reserve player. This means he didn't start every game. He became a starter in his third year, called his junior year. For two years in a row, he led his team, the Wildcats, in tackles. A tackle is when a defensive player stops the player with the ball.
Playing Football Professionally
With the Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams chose Josh Forrest in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL draft. He was the 190th player picked overall. On June 9, 2016, the Rams signed Josh to a four-year contract.
However, on November 22, 2016, he was placed on injured reserve. This means he couldn't play because of an injury. On September 2, 2017, the Rams released him due to injury. He was then placed on injured reserve again. He was officially released from the team on September 9, 2017.
With the Seattle Seahawks
On October 16, 2017, Josh Forrest joined the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but don't usually play in games. On November 7, 2017, he was moved to the active roster, meaning he could now play in games. But on December 2, 2017, he was placed on injured reserve again.
Josh re-signed with the Seahawks on August 2, 2018. However, he was released from the team on September 1, 2018.
