José Miguel Alcérreca Saldes (born May 7, 1845 – died August 21, 1891) was a brave Chilean army officer. He took part in two important conflicts in Chile's history. These were the War of the Pacific and the Chilean Civil War of 1891. He sadly died during the Civil War at the Battle of Placilla. He was fighting to support President José Manuel Balmaceda.
